I’m partnering with Alli Ramsay (winner of the Chilean Bake-off 2018) for this exciting 3-day baking class.
In this class students will learn techniques to design, bake, ice, fill and decorate their own cake for a baking competition on day three. Parents are invited to join in on the tasting for the last class.
Day 1:
We will bake classic cakes together and talk about cake components.
Working in teams of 2, students will plan out their competition cake.
Day 2:
We will make icing and filling for our class cakes.
Teams will bake their actual cake.
Teams will learn how to work with fondant and make decorations for their cake.
Day 3:
Teams will prepare filling and icing for their competition cake.
Teams will finish decorating their cake and present to judges.
Cakes will be awarded prizes on:
- presentation
- taste
- design
- originality
